In this video, I read aloud the first chapter of my book (Grief, Loss, and What Never Would Be) of my memoir - Permission to Land: Searching for Love, Home & Belonging. It is about my relationship with my mother, the last times we saw one another, and her untimely death due to addiction. As a writer, writing about this helped me come to grips with this trauma.
